What’s it like?

Learn how Ushana worked with some of the world’s largest financial institutions in his first year of the Tax Financial Services graduate programme.

How’s it structured?

Developing your understanding of local and international tax laws is at the heart of this programme. After an EY induction you’ll join your team in Financial Services where you may specialise in Direct Tax, Indirect Tax or Transfer Pricing, or UK & Ireland where you can choose from Direct Tax, Indirect Tax or Personal Tax. In both areas you’ll have coaching and training opportunities and lots of support from your team.

In your first year you’ll start studying for a professional qualification and government accredited, Level 7 Apprenticeship in accountancy and taxation if you meet the eligibility requirements. The qualifications you study towards will depend on the sub service line you join.

Throughout your second and third years, you may get opportunities to work on secondments abroad, directly with clients on site, and to continue gathering the knowledge and skills you need to reach your career goals. If you do a great job and achieve your qualifications, you’re likely to be promoted to Tax Advisor by the end of year three.
