Requirements & Qualifications

You will need to be in your penultimate year at university studying towards at least a 2:1 in a Mathematical content degree including chemistry, actuarial sciences, finance, Physics, Economics and Computer Science and due to graduate in September 2021. You must have an A-level in Maths achieving at least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for your A levels (or equivalent), and at least a grade 4 (C) in English language and at least a grade 6 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

Your professional experience

Deloitte Total Reward and Benefits provides companies and pension scheme trustees with advice and support on implementing, running, managing the risk and reducing the costs of pensions and other employee benefit arrangements. The Investments team focus on maximising value on the asset side of pension schemes. The following are some examples of the day-to-day work you will be involved in:

  • Reviewing investment strategy, asset allocation and manager selection;
  • Drafting reports with recommendations, usually including some form of ALM;
  • Carrying out performance monitoring and attribution analysis;
  • Performing research on specific asset classes and research on specific managers;
  • Drafting the periodic Capital Markets Outlook for internal and external dissemination.
