About the role
You will play a key role in executing our next generation IT architecture. This means implementing and supporting SAAS and PAAS-based solutions for business requirements and supporting big data and artificial intelligence-oriented platforms for our legal tech solutions. We service over 200 different applications (+/- 20 core applications), within an integrated landscape. We develop in-house, customised applications on the Mendix platform.
You will have your own focus applications and work closely with business information managers and suppliers, and will facilitate and train the service desk on supporting these applications. As Technical Application Consultant, you will form part of a sub-team consisting of six Application Managers and will work closely with the IT operations team. Together, both teams will safeguard the continuity and consistency of systems and data.
In part, your role will consist of conducting regular operational application maintenance; providing 2nd line support; release management; and managing relationships with relevant suppliers, business information managers and IT operations. You will also be involved in implementing new (cloud) solutions, by participating in company-wide projects (Agile/Scrum and Waterfall).

The position of Technical Application Consultant forms part of the IT Department. The IT team consists of about 40 FTE. Our IT team provides services to almost 700 staff and 1000 office spaces. You will report to the Manager – Applications & Development.
