The KBR Civil & Structural Engineering Group brings together the structural, civil, geotechnical, architectural, and weight engineering disciplines.  Our Engineers and Designers possess the full range of skills and in-depth experience necessary for the design of any onshore or offshore energy related facility. We execute all stages of large and small projects, from studies, conceptual design, detailed design and construction, through to support of operations and decommissioning.  Our people turn their hands to a variety of tasks from the design of offshore fixed and floating structures to onshore energy and chemical production facilities for oil & gas, liquefied natural gas, gas to liquids, wind, solar and tidal power projects for which we are responsible for the design of all civil and structural works. This includes site surveys, site preparation earthworks, drainage, civil infrastructure for access, security and utilities distribution, coastal and marine works including ports, harbours and jetties, steel and concrete structures and buildings for industrial, commercial and residential facilities.  Working closely with other KBR engineering discipline and management groups is a vital component of our successful work practice.

Working with other specialist groups such as Naval Architects and Installation Specialists to solve challenges presented by transporting and installing large structures is just one example of our cooperative work. Specialist skills in areas such as finite element analysis, seismic, fatigue and dynamic analysis are also an important feature of our skills base.  The Civil & Structural Engineering Group has extensive experience through executing a whole range of projects all around the world over more than 40 years.  This global reach provides the added opportunity for our people to gain experience working in our design offices abroad and we can be called upon to work onsite or in fabrication yards carrying out investigations, inspections, surveys, construction/installation, hook-up and commissioning of facilities.  Our aim at KBR is to ensure the best people and technology deliver the right solutions to our clients, safely and sustainably with full consideration for the environment.
