Your position

As Site Manager you will be responsible for all the activities involved in the installation of our automated material handling systems in regular projects, or in parts of bigger projects initially at Schiphol. You will be part of the project team, led by the project manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day activities, while for larger projects (longer duration and greater complexity) you will report through a Construction Manager.

The project team consists of supervisors, safety engineers and subcontractors. From an early stage you will work on organizing the project, under leadership of the Project Manager. After the preparations you will work at the project. Because you represent our organization on-site you will work independently and you won’t be afraid to take decisions. You are proactive in reporting and resolving logistic, technical or organizational problems and have good communication with the customer about progress, out of scope work, non-conformities, timely payments and all other site related issues.

Your department

Within the Veghel based department of Site Management, the team of Supervisors and Site Managers (70 people) is responsible for the installation of our systems on the customer site. The increasing number of new projects and their geographical spread means the team

is growing and expanding worldwide. You will report hierarchically to the group leader, and on a daily basis to the Construction Manager or the Project Manager.

Your qualifications

  • degree in a technical subject such as Electronics and/or Mechanics;
  • Relevant experience; knowledge of Vanderlande equipment and systems is a plus
  • Affinity with material handling or industrial transport systems
