Your position

In the position of Scrum Master we will give you the opportunity to guide, train and coach multiple Scrum teams during development & improvement processes. You will be working closely together with the Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure the further adaption to the agile way of working within the department Data & Analytics.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As a Scrum Master you will thrive in being able to facilitate multiple Scrum teams during their regular sprints. You excel in recognizing and removing impediments, either by yourself or by guiding the team to remove them. You have a keen eye for identifying the right stakeholders when needed to do so. Furthermore, you will:

  • Guide the teams through the Scrum process, from product backlog refinement to retrospectives
  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of the teams and organization and coach/train them to higher levels of maturity, adopting a sustainable and comfortable pace for all involved.
  • Support and educate the Product Owners on grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Build a trust-based and safe environment where problems can be raised without hesitation, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
  • Facilitate all stakeholders in understanding Scrum and cooperating effectively
  • Align on the Agile Way of Working with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coach
  • If needed, take up the role as team member in order to meet the sprint goal.

Your profile

As a Scrum Master, you are described best as:

  • Having a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

  • Proactive, taking ownership
  • Result oriented, with a hands-on attitude
  • A team player, able to challenge and influence others, team members and stakeholders alike.

We ask you to bring to the table:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • At least one year of experience as a Scrum Master, with a toolbox of proven practices
  • Experience as a (software) team lead and/or lead developer
  • Certified as PSM I/ CSM or preferably PSM II/ A-CSM
  • Good command of the English language (native Dutch is preferred)

And if you have some of the follwing, they would be a big plus:

  • Knowledge of Material Handling processes or logistic trade, and the skills to transfer this into usable concepts and architectures
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary project organization, ideally with multilingual/multicultural teams.
  • Experience with scaling Scrum/Agile
