As an intern in the global consumer marketing team for Female Hair Removal – part of the Business Group Personal Care– you will work in a team of international marketers, supporting the team in definition, development and introduction of hair removal products. You will work with local sales organizations across the globe and support them with the latest product launches, as well as with (internal and external) creative agencies to ensure product marketing and activation deliverables.

You are responsible for

  • Support in Product management (Life Cycle Management): cooperating with key markets, managing launches, creating of packaging and leading phase-out related activities
  • Executing analysis on consumer and market data, e.g. translating ratings and reviews insights into actions
  • Tracking of global competition, market developments and trends across multiple product categories to support key innovation projects optimize and go to market strategy
  • Market Introduction Planning, preparing trade presentations and activation materials, ensuring all information is available timely to countries to prepare their product launch
  • Prepare in Marketing Communication projects, preparing packaging, marketing communication materials and content (product video, leaflet, user manual).
  • Supporting in the development of our mobile App (content creation and update notifications)
  • Managing sample and stock levels (order/ ship samples to countries )
  • Owning the performance tracker, global and per market; coordinating and analyzing data
  • You will work with a variety of departments: supply chain, sales, business development, design, engineers, and developers.

Female Hair Removal is a strong, fast moving and successful category in the Personal Care business of Philips. It develops and markets hair removal products (IPL, epilators, shavers, trimmers) globally while taking into consideration the local consumer habits and practices. The global consumer marketing team is located at the divisional headquarters in Amsterdam and cooperates closely with (internal and external) creative agencies, product project managers, country marketers, and sales colleagues around the globe. The consumer marketing team is responsible for global proposition development, starting with consumer insight generation, all the way to product development, market launch and life cycle management. In a very dynamic market with a multitude of projects, the team welcomes your support!

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • You are Currently pursuing your studies as a university bachelor or master student (BSc/MSc), preferably with marketing emphasis
  • Passionate about marketing
  • Affinity with Beauty domain and Female Hair Removal
  • Strong communication skills, team player
  • Analytically strong, proactive and solution oriented
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
