Local Unit & Position Description

KEMA High Power Laboratory is the largest independent short circuit laboratory in the world. Manufacturers and utilities from all over the world are customers for development, take-over and certification testing. These tests are performed in consultation with the customers and in cooperation with a team of employees. For our short circuit laboratory (HPL) we are looking for young technical engineers, who can handle a dynamic job with a lot of responsibility.

Tasks

As an Operator in our HPL, you will be responsible for the execution of short circuit tests, assembling, analysing and disassembling of measurement set-ups. Additionally, you will work on the maintenance and repair of installations. The job is split into day and night shifts.

Position Qualifications

  • Intermediate Technical School Electrical engineering degree;
  • Interest in high voltage/ power current engineering;
  • A flexible attitude with respect to working hours (willingness to work in night shifts) - mandatory requirement;
  • Ability to work both in teams and independently;
  • Ability to cope with stress;
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch (both written and spoken) - mandatory requirement;
  • Knowledge of the German language would be a plus.
