Job description

Bright-River is in the middle of a Digital Transformation. We are doing two things to facilitate this transformation: 1) move our environments from being built by 3rd parties to building, owning and running it ourselves, and 2) moving from doing simple image editing work to automated image processing including 3D and visual content optimisation.

What is your Mission?

You’ll work as part of a talented team of developers contribute to the Bright-River design and delivery of technical requirements of our product, based on functional requirements, UX prototype and solution architecture.

A few of the task you’d either own or contribute towards:

  • Using your outstanding programming skills (ahum of course) you contribute to the design and development of our in-house applications. The applications are used daily by your Bright River colleagues and our customers.
  • You are responsible for the functional, design and technical implementation according to business, UX and technical requirements.
  • You care about how the user experiences your application with regards to quality, responsiveness and ease of use.
  • You prefer data driven decisions over gut feelings and assumptions. This shows in you analytical skill set.
  • You work together in a team of developers and engineers together with a Product Owner on a day to day basis. Together your will deliver product according to business and technical requirements.
  • You feel the ownership of the code you develop. You will build, own and run the applications with your team.
  • DevOps mindset: Applying your DevOps skills to find the right balance between delivery speed and quality. Our aim is to automate everything and deliver on a continuous basis with a high level of quality.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds in different offices around the world.
  • You will be doing some out of hours shift work as part of a team rotation.

Job requirements

How to stand out from the rest?

  • You’ve studied Engineering or BSc. education in Computer Sciences, MSc. education
  • 5 years experience as a Developer .Net C#, Net C#, SQL, ASP.NET, XML, JSON, REST
  • You have knowledge of React, Redux or Typescript is a real plus
  • You are results oriented and a curious and effective problem-solver
  • A proven eye for detail - you love sweating those details.
  • Teamwork, contribute to the overall success of the development team and Bright-River
  • Ability to communicate with (remote) colleagues from different cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in Adobe Creative Cloud and Salesforce is a nice too have
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux
  • Fluent in English
