At the heart of our Marine sector is our 320 acre Rosyth facility, which is home to one of the largest waterside manufacturing and repair facilities in the UK. The facilities have been an iconic presence on the River Forth for more than 100 years and carry a name synonymous with engineering excellence. Our world-class assets and infrastructure support a diverse range of naval and commercial marine programmes as well as advanced manufacturing.

Alongside maintaining and refitting Royal Navy and international naval vessels, the most iconic project ever to have been carried out on-site, is the design, build, assembly and support of the UK’s two aircraft carriers – the largest vessels ever to have been built for the Royal Navy. We are also the lead contractor for UK Submarine Dismantling Programme and are currently carrying out the demonstrator project from Rosyth.

Our wider engineering and marine services business encompasses the through-life support of complex assets, marine engineering and platform design, advanced manufacturing and the international application of intellectual property via our Gas Handling business, LGE.

With approximately 2,000 people on site, we seek to drive and deliver innovation in every aspect of our work, using our expertise to provide digitally enabled global support solutions and technical innovations for our customers.

To make the most of the opportunities Marine has to offer, you’ll need to have great technical skills along with the drive and aspiration to develop your career. Our graduates have the opportunity to use their knowledge from their engineering or business degrees to help us deliver our world-class programmes, develop new technologies and offer solutions for our vast range of customers.

Your development programme will have a strong focus on undertaking a number of different placements which will be agreed in line with evolving business requirements and provide you with a high level of on-the-job training. You will be given an opportunity to network and knowledge-share your experiences through our modular two-year Marine sector graduate development programme. Through these experiences you will come to understand: the pivotal role you play in our future success, how the organisation functions, our culture and how we work as a team to help our customers succeed.

OUR LOCATIONS

Your home base will be Rosyth Dockyard, but some of your placements may be at other Marine sector locations. As many of our programmes are available at more than one location you will have the opportunity, at the end of the online application form, to select a second and/or third choice location that you would want your application to be considered for.
