the Scrum Master role

The Scrum Master supports one or more Scrum Teams within the Digital Factory, ensuring that the agile way of working is understood and applied properly. He or she does so by ensuring that the development teams, business representatives, the product owner, and management adheres to the scrum framework, and applies the agreed agile practices and rules adhering to the way of working.

key activities

  • Support the product owner, especially in maintaining the product backlog
  • Remove impediments that keep the team from progressing
  • Bring and maintain structure in the product team
  • Collaborate with end-users, product team members and suppliers to design services throughout the product life cycle, providing practical solutions that make a difference to our clients, candidates, talents and colleagues
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, coach the scrum team (members)
  • Manage the Scrum board tracking the progress of epics and user stories
  • Assist in establishing and delivering on Objectives & Key Results

  • Digital Factory members, tribe or chapter lead, product owner and team members
  • Colleagues in other Randstad Global departments
  • Operating company implementation teams
  • External partners

the ideal candidate

  • HBO / WO - 3-5 years experience with scrum/agile as a scrum master, preferably in a digital, multinational surrounding
  • Extensive understanding and practical application of scrum methodologies such as backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, task definition, and the use of JIRA
  • Relevant certification (e.g. PSM I) is a pre
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and preferably more languages
  • Keen interest in digital trends and how they impact people and businesses, such as:
  • Digital (marketing) trends, capabilities, platforms and (self) services, CX experience
  • Digital services integrated into business environments
