Who is Lightyear?
Lightyear is an innovative and progressive scale-up with one mission; offering clean mobility for everyone, everywhere! Lightyear originates from the multiple world champion of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge® Cruiser Class, Solar Team Eindhoven. With Stella and Stella Lux this team developed a solar powered, 5 person, road legal car. Lightyear was officially established in 2016 aiming to make this groundbreaking technology accessible to everyone! In 2016 it started with 5 visionaries. At the beginning of 2018 Lightyear had grown to 40 highly motivated people. Today, Lightyear consists of nearly 150 employees and keeps on growing. Lightyear has its own production facility and in the summer of 2019 we moved to our brand new office. This growth will continue in the coming years. For that reason we are looking for talented interns to strengthen the company and contribute in achieving our mission!
Which team will you become part of?As an intern you’ll become part of the Commerce circle. This circle entails Sales, Marketing & Communication while the circle’s mission is focusing on creating a strong and desired brand. Its drive is to make Lightyear to be customer-centric, by providing market and customer insights.
Within the Commerce circle you’ll be part of the communication team specifically. This team is responsible for all external communication throughout different channels (both online & offline). For instance, website (blogs), press releases, media partnerships, newsletters, videos, podcasts, social media content and so forth.
Your personal missionAs an Intern within the Communications team you will support and assist our communication lead and campaign manager. Fundamentally, you’ll support them in both continuous activities as well as project-related work.

We’re eagerly looking for an intern who’s creative yet structured and brings a long well developed interpersonal skills.
