NIBC is looking for an intern for the Mezzanine & Equity Partners team!

Job Description:

Mezzanine & Equity Partners invests in successful and mature companies with strong management by providing risk capital to help realize their (international) growth or buy-out plans. Since January 1st 2018 we are also active on the German market.

We utilize products ranging from subordinated debt to minority equity and are flexible regarding capital structures that best meet the investment case. As an example of the type of companies MEP invests in, the equity investment in Fletcher Hotels is illustrative. The management of Fletcher Hotels acquired a majority stake through the support of a minority equity investment of MEP. The same counts for Roadshow Group; a company active in the area of live-event marketing and rental of promotional vehicles and trucks, all aimed to increase brand-experience and contact moments with the target customers.

What will you do?

Your contribution will vary per assignment and comprises amongst others the following activities:

  • Conducting valuations and other financial analyses
  • Performing market, industry and company specific analyses and due diligence
  • Preparing documents for company visits and investment committee meetings
  • Executing transaction activities including financial analysis, transaction documentation and process management

Who are we looking for?

  • Academic, with at least a bachelor degree in (Financial) Economics or a technical study with a strong affinity with finance
  • Affinity with financial markets and its products
  • Distinctive academic results as well as extra-curricular successes
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Strong drive, ambition and determination
  • Good commercial sense
  • Flexible team player

Our purpose is to make a difference at decisive moments for management/shareholders of the company and build successful investments. The inventiveness of our solutions often determines our ability to do this. And inventive ideas arise from diverse teams. We are therefore looking for people with different profiles and who want to contribute to the openness and inclusiveness of our culture. To increase our professionalism we also focus on giving each other continuous feedback. A high performance culture can only be sustained with talented individuals who are always ready to take the next step to grow. What you will get?

The benefits of a smaller dynamic firm: being able to work where, when and how you want. Being an intern in a smaller bank will give you substantial responsibilities, direct exposure to senior management and enable you to rapidly understand how the whole bank works and where you can best leverage your talents.

High-performing interns may be invited to join our Talent Program after graduation. Check our website for more information: https://www.nibc.com/careers/campus-recruitment/talent-program.html

We can offer you the chance to work and gain experience in the field of private equity and mezzanine debt.
