De Brauw is looking for a talented and driven Manager Business Support. If you are looking for a challenge in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of all work processes, and if you are looking for a management role in a dynamic environment– don’t look further!

This role is within the Business Support department. You will manage the Team Assistants and Personal Assistants in our Litigation practice group. You will report to the Head of Business Support and Facilities. The main responsibility of the Manager Business Support is to monitor and manage all processes, activities and contract management. You act as an account manager towards partners and as a coach/mentor to his/her team.

About the role

In this role, you are responsible for driving innovation by improving primary processes and the overall quality of our services, and for setting up and managing suppliers. Responsibilities include:

  • Leads Business Support, and motivates and inspires assistants
  • Coordinates the planning and staffing in the practice groups
  • Contributes to the optimisation of work processes through project participation
  • Coaches, mentors and develops staff, by discussing career development planning and opportunities
  • Empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
  • Delegates responsibility within his/her team and ensures that his/her team takes accountability and provides regular feedback

Who are you?

  • Higher professional degree (HBO)
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or equivalent position
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (Dutch and English)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in coaching and mentoring others
  • Excellent leadership skills, stakeholder and project management sills
  • Able to act independently and proactively
  • Analytical and innovative mind set
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Flexible and customer service-focused attitude and mind set
