Introduction

ASML creates lithographic systems for the semiconductor industry to produce faster, smarter and more energy efficient chips. A strong cooperation between ASML and its suppliers is needed to accomplish this.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will be the link between the ASML mechatronic project development teams, ASML production and the related development and manufacturing teams at our mechatronic suppliers. You will have a primary focus on process, parts and assembly quality at the supplier.

Are you experienced in proactively managing technical suppliers? Do you understand how quality is ensured during the product design of high tech systems? Can you take ownership to make sure that our suppliers deliver the right quality and quantity on time? And would you like to further develop your result driven approach and your excellent stakeholder management skills? Then this position is interesting for you!

Job Mission

The mission of the mechatronic Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is to ensure excellent parts and assembly quality of outsourced mechatronic assemblies through manufacturable designs and controlled manufacturing and qualification processes.

To execute our mission at the Mechatronic System Development (MSD) department the SQE will work closely together with the supplier and the ASML development teams to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the product generation and qualification processes within mechatronic projects. The MSD SQE develops and applies expertise on manufacturing of mechatronic modules and orchestrating optimal teamwork between development projects and the supply chain. The goal is to reach an effective process flow, optimal costs and excellent quality.

The MSD SQE is responsible to ensure supplier quality during New Product Introduction and will actively contribute to the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) competence of Development & Engineering (D&E) department. The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures early supplier involvement to secure all manufacturability aspects; starting in specification and concept phase of new mechatronic developments and staying involved up to release for volume.

Main responsibilities:

  • New product introduction (NPI) and supplier selection together with the Sourcing department.
  • Early supplier involvement in the D&E (MSD) with mechatronic suppliers to merge Supplier and ASML expertise.
  • Ensure that manufacturability, costs and serviceability aspects are covered in the design phase. This includes implementation of lessons learned.
  • Deliverables that secure parts quality from suppliers such as: Statement Of Work, TPD Acceptance by Supplier, (Proto) Evaluation reports, manufacturing flows, P-FMEA, Test Coverage Documents including SPC and Part Qualification Report.

Arrange and control supplier interface processes, such as:

  • Issue resolution
  • Root cause analysis
  • Qualification deviation
  • Configuration management
  • ASML factory disturbances
  • Supplier development
