We provide thought leadership and comprehensive banking services, including debt financing, transaction services and innovative banking solutions across a range of UK businesses from entrepreneurial start-ups to FTSE100 customers.

About the programme

Our aim’s to equip you with the knowledge, skills and experiences you’ll need to become a well-rounded banker and future leader. As a key part of this, you’ll be working directly with customers to understand their challenges and develop your relationship building skills. You’ll also be involved in shaping the innovation and digital agendas, improving customer journeys and driving product simplification.

We’ll reward you with a starting salary of £31,850 a year.

Over the two years of this programme you’ll:

  • Build a deep understanding of our customers’ needs across a range of sectors, and expertise in the products we offer
  • Help with client relationship planning and execution across a wide range of products and services
  • Develop robust credit, lending and risk management skills
  • Gain insight into product development, innovation and our growing digital banking capability
  • Build the confidence and critical capabilities you need to succeed

The programme begins with an in-depth induction, where you’ll get to know fellow graduates and learn about our customers and how our bank works on a holistic level.

You’ll then go through four, six month rotations with different teams in commercial banking, within your location. Wherever you’re placed, variety will be key. We’ll provide you with a breadth of experience and knowledge to give you the best possible start to your chosen career.

You’ll also complete a professional qualification during your programme to further develop your technical expertise.

From day one, you’ll have a wide network of dedicated people to support you, including a Graduate Coach, Buddy, and Placement Manager. They’ll be there every step of the way, to answer questions, help you build your professional network and support you in your career development.

On completing the programme you’ll be well positioned to take on a permanent role with us. Depending on your talents and preferences you could move into a multitude of different areas, such as relationship management, a product or sector specialism, strategy and innovation or digital.

About You

To serve our customers well, we need intelligent, highly motivated and forward-thinking people; people with the curiosity to approach things from fresh perspectives, the ability to build credible relationships, and the determination to help shape the best solutions for our customers.

You’ll need to be on course for, or already have, a 2:1 in your degree. There’s no one subject area we have in mind, but we’ll be looking out for people:
