Role Profile

The role of Apprentice Groundworker involves working on a wide range of ground working techniques. You will be a good problem solver for difficult tasks, always working within strict health and safety guidelines. You will be a valuable team member, able to take instructions and work according to schedules, plans, timescales and risk assessments.

What Does The Apprenticeship Involve?

During your apprenticeship, you will typically work on tasks such as:-

  1. Drain clearance
  2. trench and foundation digging
  3. concreting
  4. ground levelling
  5. kerb and flagstone laying

You will also undertake a range of specific training in the use of equipment and machinery for the job, as well as extensive health and safety training.
