Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the firm’s Graduate Recruitment efforts to widen the pools of talent joining the firm in London and globally for early career legal roles.

Key priorities for this role include:

  • The implementation of Linklaters’ graduate diversity programmes in the UK and Ireland
  • Delivery of several globally-aligned recruitment events and/or programmes in the UK, India, the Middle East, South Africa, South Korea and United States
  • Building and maintaining relationships with Linklaters’ HR teams globally on global recruitment and diversity initiatives as well as with partner firms in India and South Africa
  • To support the wider Graduate Recruitment team with the marketing (attraction) and selection processes that contribute to the recruitment of 100 graduates and 100 vacation students into the London office on an annual basis

Key responsibilities and challenges:

  • Supporting the organisation of the marketing and interviewing trips for African and Indian Clerkship programme (approx. 20-25 interviews each), in conjunction with the GDR Recruitment Advisor, GDR Manager, African Practice and India Group members (this may require international travel)
  • Organising and coordinating the application and interview schedules for graduate recruitment programmes and initiatives – pipeline, global, diversity and pre-university - as required.
  • Support Graduate Recruitment initiatives in other regions including the Middle East and Europe, where necessary
  • Working with Global Mobility, Graduate Recruitment and Trainee Development teams to process Global Programme offers
  • Maintain all GDR data on events, candidates, applicants and participants for both diversity-focused and globally-focused recruitment initiatives to ensure orderly reporting on programme effectiveness, participant tracking and internal and external engagement.
  • Helping to organise insight and work experience for candidates selected via diversity- and globally-focused programmes: these will include 4-week Vacation Schemes (VS) for African clerks and Indian interns, 1-2 week-long insight sessions, work experience days and long-term mentoring and scholarship experiences.
  • Support the administration and delivery of the firm’s social mobility programmes, Making Links Schools Challenge and Making Links Scholars programmes.
  • Aligning activity with Graduate Recruitment Assistant
  • Liaising with university careers services, suppliers and internal teams on events
  • Attending events and presenting on the graduate offering (may include evening work – 1-2 events per week on average during recruitment season)
  • Acting as the main point of contact for diversity suppliers for insight event requirements and staffing
  • Ensuring supplier invoices are logged and filed in a timely and orderly manner
  • Dealing with global and diversity queries in the graduate recruitment and Making Links inboxes
  • Other reasonable duties as requested by Graduate Recruitment

  • Experience in a graduate recruitment, lateral recruitment, community investment/Corporate Social Responsibility or heavily administrative role in a blue-chip or professional service firm or third sector organisation. (desirable)
  • Experience of graduate recruitment or events management. (desirable)
  • Experience of having worked with diverse and international teams (desirable)

Office skills
