  • Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of business experience related to pricing management with increasingly senior responsibilities, or as a consultant or knowledge professional in a strategy consulting firm with experience in marketing and sales topics
  • Deep knowledge of pricing content and client work (e.g., industry players, forces at work) as well as cutting-edge analytics driven pricing and dynamic pricing strategies
  • Ability to interact as an integral member of a leadership team and to engage and communicate with all levels
  • Excellent strategic capabilities, a keen observer of trends and emerging issues
  • Strong sense of entrepreneurship and personal drive
  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills and excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong project management skills and solid people development skills
  • Excellence in fertilizing pricing topics across different industry sectors, identifying sectors' commonalities to exploit and sector's specificities to address


You’ll work with our Marketing & Sales practice in one of our offices in Europe. As a part of this practice, you’ll focus on developing marketing and sales strategies for leading companies of all major industries, including consumer goods, financial services, retail, telecommunications, and logistics. Our clients benefit from our experience in core areas of marketing such as branding, customer insights, marketing ROI, digital marketing, CLM pricing, and sales and channel management.


You will drive the growth and development in the area of pricing. 

In this role you will work closely with the Pricing Service Line leadership and consultants to drive client development (proposal and workshop development), ongoing team and client support, practice management, knowledge codification, and external reputation building.  

You will collaborate with McKinsey consulting teams and deliver impactful knowledge contributions on pricing related issues. In addition to remote support of client engagements, you will provide expertise and thought partnership to clients and consulting teams through occasional on-site staffing. You will also participate in the development of new client engagements by contributing expertise to pricing related proposals.  

Additionally, you will drive the practice management and knowledge development in the Marketing & Sales practice. This includes supporting the ongoing management of the practice through business performance reviews, people development, practice meetings, community building and knowledge codification/dissemination. You will lead the development and dissemination of top priority knowledge efforts. Also, you will identify and assess opportunities for pricing related knowledge-building initiatives and contribute to the problem structuring, research, and analysis on these projects. 

You will manage and continuously improve a repository of best practice pricing knowledge globally and develop the agenda, content and facilitate practice meetings globally and regionally. Additionally, you will promote connectivity among McKinsey's geographically dispersed pricing practitioners, sharing new approaches, connecting synergistic efforts, and maintaining a global perspective on the successes and needs of the people in the pricing community.
