Job Purpose

The Junior Marketing Manager’s primary goal is to support the TV Marketing Team within Sony UK, to increase Sales and Profit by maximise brand awareness and purchase consideration with UK and Ireland.

The Junior Marketing Manager works closely with…..

Sales team - delivering guidelines and tactical plans which align with the company’s overall TV strategy. Sales teams needs detailed proposition information including consumer benefits, competitive analysis and promotional plans in order to secure retailer buy-in to Sony TV.

Trade Marketing team - supporting with the creation and delivery of the presentations to outline the rolling TV quarterly retail strategy with a view to optimise Sony awareness in both store and on-line.

Retail Activation team – supporting TV Marketing Manager update 200+ promoters working within our key retail partners to understand Sony’s key consumer benefits and how to convey them vs our competitors in store to win consumers purchase.

The Junior Marketing Manager will support the TV category…

..on the creation and communications of the promotions for the assigned product category, and ensure they are properly communicated to all key stakeholders.

..taking responsibility for stock allocation and sample management for the TV category. This will involve collaborating with the PR team, training team, sales teams and in-store retail teams to coordinate the loaning and placement products in tactical locations.

..by reviewing competitor activity by monitoring pricing, product distribution and new technologies. In addition a regular review of online and instore retail condition and implementation of Sony TV promotional propostions.

..by project managing trade events that TV category arrange in order to engage with retail partners and consumers – this may involve some weekend working which is fully recompensed.

Please note that the role is initially a 1 year fixed term contract.
