INTERNSHIP AT ADIDAS
The purpose of this internship is to provide the internship student with experience of the practical application of theoretical knowledge the internship student has already acquired at university and to acquire new skills and knowledge. This internship description contains tasks and responsibilities that will be learned step by step and the internship student will be accompanied by adidas employees at all times. adidas will ensure that the internship student is given tasks and responsibilities according to the level of competence of the student and the educational objectives for the internship period. The internship student will sign an internship agreement, which is not an employment contract
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
The general purpose the Group Functions Finance is to be a financial consultant to the Group Functions Senior Management and SCM Senior Management by giving recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making. The Finance Functions support and steer the business to achieve financial targets as well as the strategy based on the analysis of number indicators. This is supported by the creation of transparency about business performance through cost center analysis, business analysis and performance management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support financial controlling of all logistic cost related to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions within Western Europe with focus on Scheinfeld production and fulfillment center.
Support processes and tools that increases transparency on cost and cost drivers of the Supply Chain through cost management of the assigned budget by supporting budget process and forecast, reporting actual costs.
Support the development and continuous enhancement of balanced Key Performance Indicators, help driving transparency on business performance drivers and living a sustainable “performance management culture” within the Supply Chain Organization.
Act as a team player, embrace continuous learning & improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High comfort/Knowledge level with standard software (Excel, Access) essential
SAP knowledge is a plus
Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain
Abilities to manage large data quantities from multiple sources
Very good analytical skills in order to synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions
Ability to meet critical deadlines with strong planning and organizing skills.
Strong and clear communication and interpersonal skills
You are a team player, communicative, and motivated
You are fluent in English spoken and written
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Student of Bachelor or Master studies in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Logistics
Enrolled in University/College for the complete duration of the internship (6 months)
Applied to EU citizens only due to work permit regulations
