Our Merchandising & Buying Graduate Programme is as different, as our business model is unique.

Your Graduate journey in the Merchandising team, begins with learning why our business is the way it is; what the fundamental partnership between Merchandising and Buying is, and how it delivers value to our customers online and in store. This will equip you to begin driving results in an entrepreneurial way.

We believe that acquiring this understanding early, is essential to becoming a great Merchandiser or Buyer in the future. At TJX it’s important that our people gain a broad experience of the business, by working in a number of different product areas. Building strong relationships and learning from experienced Merchandisers and Buyers is also fundamental to understanding what we do, and how we do it!

Responsibility From The Start

You’ll be part of a group of Allocation Analysts, learning together on a comprehensive induction and training course. This includes both classroom and practical workshops, all designed to help you to take on responsibility from the start. Although, this is just the beginning of your training and development.

With the support of a skilled network that includes your manager, mentor and buddy you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and relationships that are essential to making decisions that contribute to profitable sales. Your career at TJX Merchandising, begins with analysing sales patterns, to deepen your understanding of the wider retail market. It also trains you to spot the product opportunities, that will ensure the right goods are in the right stores, and on our website, at the right time.

Where Will My Career Go?

We’re an ambitious business with exciting expansion plans. We nurture and develop our people. We see their talents and consider everyone a future leader. You will learn quickly in our fast-paced environment and are empowered to make decisions from the outset. You will drive your own development and be fully supported along the way. We’re a flexible European business, once you get a solid foundation in Merchandising you could go on to be a Buyer – or into other areas of business that excite you. Opportunities extend across our European offices, so language skills are always an asset.

What Is Our Culture Like?

We’ve been voted 1st place in The JobCrowd’s ‘Top Graduate programmes in Retail’ 2019/20, 2017/18 and 2016/17. We offer world class development and learning through structured workshops, peer-to-peer sharing, storytelling, and team-building.
