Overall Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and ambitious Graduate Junior Account Executive, keen to join our fast-paced, fun and evolving brand design agency.

Reporting into the Account Manager, this role will provide the opportunity to deliver creative projects for a number of well‐known global FMCG brands, ranging from packaging and point of sale to activation campaigns. They will work with a team of designers to produce the creative work, supporting in the process from initial concepts through to end delivery.

The Junior Account Executive will come in initially to support the client services team whilst they learn and develop, before taking on their own projects.

Job Responsibilities

These are the main areas of focus for the Junior Account Executive:

Support the management and delivery of projects

Support the Account Team in producing estimates, timings and resource plans in response to client briefs

  • Assist with the production of detailed and inspiring creative briefs for the creative team
  • Develop a strong professional relationship with clients and become the ‘go to’ contact for junior clients
  • Work closely day‐to‐day with the creative team to monitor projects, helping to ensure they are delivered to agreed scope, timings, budget and creative quality
  • Understand the broader requirements of the accounts they are involved in, and find helpful ways to contribute to their successful delivery
  • Support the account team by taking ownership of invoicing, POs, and other internal process admin.

Being professional

  • Ensure clear internal and external communication is maintained between all parties, acting a first point of contact for clients
  • Ensure that all documentation, costings, briefs, scopes and presentations are of the highest possible standard.
  • Be positive and a force for good in the team – even when faced with difficult problems. Be solutions focused.
  • Know when to delegate upwards and raise the alarm at the right time, to the right people when issues occur.
  • Be prepared to muck in on areas outside of the immediate team. This means sharing resource, helping on other accounts or managing any other internal initiatives if required.
  • Building and safeguarding relationships
  • Build a partnership relationship with clients; good rapport here is key to success of both the delivery process and account development.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that relevant clients and account team members are kept up to date on project developments: changes in timings, costs and any issues arising. Communicate regularly and don’t avoid difficult conversations.
  • Ensure that internal and client sign‐offs are obtained on all key project deliverables
  • Manage conflicts and issues effectively, and seek guidance from your manager on any potentially sensitive or difficult situations.
  • Strive for great work
  • Build an understanding of Anthem's and the client's industry, business, and products.
  • Learn to develop creative judgment and strive for the best work every time.

Experience required:

The ideal candidate for this role is a recent graduate, who is now looking to establish themselves in a client services role. They should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements to manage projects efficiently, on‐time and budget.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Graphic Arts, Advertising or related field
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Basic understanding of effective Creative Design practices, trends, techniques, and processes across one or more touchpoints or mediums (e.g. packaging, in-store, online, mobile, print, direct)
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organisation, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
