What will you be doing?

Our Procurement business unit is designed to sit across the full breadth of Baringa’s industries, including Resources, Retail & Networks, Financial Services & Insurance. It provides our clients with deep expertise in managing and optimising procurement services, with client challenges ranging from optimising category management through to procurement operating model redesign and procurement transformation. Some examples of potential projects include:

  • Carrying out a procurement effectiveness diagnostic as an initial means to optimise an existing procurement function
  • Designing and deploying best-in-class procurement processes for a new procurement department
  • Carrying out sourcing and spend analytics using client data to identify improvement patterns and spend optimisation
  • Working with new digital technologies that will enhance the capabilities & effectiveness of Procurement including robotic process automation (RPA), advanced analytics, blockchain, artificial intelligence & machine learning
  • Defining new supplier relationship management strategies combined with the development and training of client staff to enable long term supplier relationships to be established
  • Post-merger integration of procurement departments to drive cost savings and improve supplier service.
  • Management and SME oversight of large scale corporate outsourcing and near-sourcing programmes
  • Enabling effective supplier implementation & optimised category management throughout the life of the supplier contract through definition of roles and responsibilities, benefits tracking, and deployment of supplier and category management plans.
