WHAT THE JOB IS ALL ABOUT »

We are recruiting to fill System Operator roles within our expanding Football department. These full-time positions will include on-site work at football stadia around the UK, Europe and further afield; as well the Sony Europe head offices in Basingstoke. With contracts to provide Goal Line Technology, VAR (Video Assisted Referee) and associated services for the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League & Europa League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisie and FIFA tournaments, the role will encompass installation and operation of our technology at matches.

As part of the Football department, you will be integral to of our global operations and from time to time help support regional delivery of the technology across our satellite offices around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES »

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology in top-flight football leagues as part of a young and dynamic team. We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day to day tasks but also to encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.

This will involve:

  • Setting up the video review system and goal-line technology
  • Conducting pre-match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
  • Liaising with match officials and host broadcasters both on-site and remotely
  • Operating the technologies during the match
  • Building and maintaining our hardware and equipment
  • Research and development into new projects and new systems

Requirements

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU »

  • A strong technical grounding
  • Ideally with a degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course or relevant equivalent experience
  • Bright and enterprising with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative
  • Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, live broadcast environment
  • Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner
  • Ideally, an interest in sport and/or sport analysis
  • Full valid driving licence required
  • Preferable experience working with VT / replay technology desirable, or live event / technical production
  • Additional languages desirable
  • Willingness to travel and work overseas
  • Acceptance that the nature of our business means that work will be carried out over weekends/bank holidays
