The Blue Tulip Awards is a year-round program with multiple events that aims to connect innovators and to drive innovation together. This year-round program will ultimately culminate in the Innovation Summit. The Blue Tulip Awards team consists of a Central Team and 8 Theme Teams. The Central Team interns are responsible for program management, partnerships, event management and marketing & communications. The Theme Interns are responsible for defining the theme strategy and executing the theme specific tasks, such as innovation scouting and guiding the theme’s jury process. Together you will work towards one goal: the biggest innovation program of the Netherlands. Within the whole Blue Tulip Awards team, you are given the freedom to pursue a variety projects.

Your job

Within the central team you will work on the overall organization of the Blue Tulip Awards. Under the supervision of the event manager, you will execute the event from A to Z together with your events team. In addition to the main Innovation Summit, you will also organize smaller events associated with the Blue Tulip Awards program. This includes jury events, Scale Up Academies, Summer Nights, Semi-Finals and the Blue Tulip Awards.

During your internship, you will develop and gain the abilities needed to fulfill the position of assistant event manager. Being in contact with different stakeholders will be key, and you will be able to influence the communication and information processes. Your job responsibilities will vary from event- and project planning to concept development, and tasks such as production preparations, programming and leading a team will be a central aspect of the internship. Also, you will be fully responsible for one of the side events and you will get the full responsibility of one of the smaller projects. We are looking for intern(s) (preferably) starting the first of December, for a period of 5-6 months and 32-40 hours a week. Are you the perfect candidate?

JUNIOR INNOVATION CHALLENGE

A separate project within the Events Team is being part of the organization of the Junior Innovation Challenge. You will be responsible of forming the program together with the Junior Innovation Challenge team, consisting of Accenture consultants, and our partner JetNet-TechNet. Responsibilities that you can expect are as follows:

Partners: find partners that are willing to contribute to the Junior Innovation Challenge program and stay in close contact with them. Could contribute in many ways, such as organizing workshops, fund prizes etc.

Marketing: working close with the marketing team to design materials that can be used throughout the events and promote the Junior Innovation Challenge internally and externally.

Events: create and lead the program together with the Junior Innovation Challenge team and JetNet-TechNet.

Communication: coordinating and executing the internal and external communication with the jury members, Junior Innovation Challenge team, ambassadors, schools, participants, partners, press etc.

Qualifications

Your background

  • You are a HBO student (end phase) or WO (end phase of Bachelor or Master) student;
  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English;
  • You are a hard worker and able to work independently;
  • You have a “can-do” mentality and can think outside the box.
