Your department 

Within Vanderlande, Services represent approximately 20% of Vanderlande’s total income and is growing rapidly. Global Services is an international operating service organization, serving our customer centers and business units with state-of-the-art service offerings, tooling and consultancy. This department consists of more than 200 employees who work together to make sure that our service offering closely connects to customer business needs. We have the ambition to enhance and improve our service offering to our customers. Maintenance & Asset Management is a vital part of this ambition, and we are looking for a Group Lead to develop and manage the Global Competence Center. 

The Global Competence Centre provides expert advice to our customers, develop global standards, tools and processes, implement best practices and support and share knowledge with our customer centers and site-based teams worldwide. We are seen as trusted business partner and we are looking for talented people to help us!  

Your position 

As Group Leader Maintenance & Asset Management, you are in the lead as Competence Owner for our international organization and drive new innovation and develop new service strategies with the objective to exceed customer expectations. You have a strategic long term view on development of business and competence needs and able to implement in the organization.  

Key result areas of the Group Lead Maintenance & Asset Management are: 

  • Develop new service strategies, processes and offerings in the field of Maintenance & Asset Management using worldwide standards based on customer needs and market trends 
  • Develop clear strategy and roadmap for your department in line with the Service Strategy, set clear KPI’s and EOY targets and manage them accordingly with your team 
  • Drive business growth by building capabilities in the team to enable operational excellence and further professionalize the Global Competence Center to support local service execution 
  • Support commercially responsible parties in development of new leads and opportunities by delivering competence support, like Maintenance Asset Management, Reliability and RAMS engineering and consultancy 
  • Strengthen the international network of Maintenance & Reliability engineers and the Maximo Key users community who execute the service strategies locally 
  • Lead development, global implementation and improvements of Maintenance and Asset Management tooling like Maximo EAMS, reporting tool and data driven programmes 

Your profile 

As Group Leader you’re able to act on operational, tactical and strategic level, and you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way motivate people and develop business.  You can move the team to the next level to support further growth in a fast growing, dynamic environment.  

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant education program and a strong interest in Industrial Automation  
  • You are an expert in the field of Asset Management and has a proven track record in implementing asset management strategies
  • You have relevant working experience min. 5 years in an international environment in a role as Maintenance Manager and/or Asset Management Consultant
  • You have a strong personality, customer mindset and you are commercially minded
  • People management skills 
  • Drive to win, result and goal oriented with a hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch as well as in English 
  • Willing to travel internationally up to 30%
