Job Description

Based in Worcester, you will have the chance to work for a dynamic Company to enrich your knowledge and experience. During your 12 month Internship, you will have the opportunity to support on a range of topics and become an integral part of the team. You will also be a key support to our Contact Centre, answering inbound phonecalls. This will allow you to develop and enhance your communication skills for the future. Finance

Placements available either in Financial Accounting where you will get the opportunity to conduct profit and loss analysis for corporation tax purposes, VAT reporting, fixed asset audits and helping with fixed asset tagging; or Management Accounting, this involves assisting with monthly business reporting, budget controlling, planning and forecasting; or Pricing Analysis, supporting with sales quotations, turnover reports, planning and forecasting.

Business

An array of placements available for students who are looking to learn general business acumen and want to further understand how a department works. You will get the chance to support a department, such as Customer Service, Health and Safety, Facilities etc. on various topics and projects throughout your placement.

HR

Our HR placement students are the main point of contact for HR queries. You will have the opportunity to support our essential HR Service Coordination Team with the entire recruitment process, as well as assist in the on boarding of new starters and maintaining employee information.

IT

Every Company needs their IT experts! Whether it is assisting employees with IT consultancy, programming software, reporting or coding, you will gain a wealth of knowledge and develop your own skills and competencies.

Business Intelligence/Product Requirements

A range of specialised roles dealing with either: changes to standards and legislation, information and protection, business and market intelligence, safety and awareness or internal auditing. An investigative nature is ideal for these type of positions, which allows opportunity to interact with our departments at times of change and new opportunities whilst learning about the whole business.

Government Interaction and Industry Standards

Using several different databases, you will assist the Standards Manager in protecting the Company's products from being placed at a disadvantage in the market place by forthcoming changes in legislation or standards and gain an awareness of how these changes can impact on the business. Your responsibilities include tracking the progress of changes across a national and international cross-functional team of experts, as well as communicating departmental research to external parties, such as; trade bodies, Standards Committees and Government Departments. This job role provides multiple opportunities to communicate and discuss crucial issues that are affecting the business with senior management; therefore allowing opportunities for you to demonstrate existing knowledge and skills and demonstrate your development whilst on placement. You will be supported and encouraged to contribute to departmental practices, communicate with internal and external colleagues and meet business goals. This placement would suit a candidate looking for wider experience of business operations whilst maintaining a customer-focused attitude and overall improving their academic and life skills.

Project Management

Our Project Management placement students are active participants in project and continuous and improvement work. They assist in the planning, development and implementation of departmental projects and work with the team to ensure targets are met.

Sales and Marketing

You will gain invaluable experience in either our Sales, Marketing or Product Management departments, supporting our teams to enhance the customer experience and to maintain our positon as the market leader for domestic boilers.

Supply Chain

These placement positions are situated in either the Purchasing, Logistics or Internal Sales departments. You will play an active role in achieving departmental targets, contribute in problem solving and could be supporting in activities such as the sourcing of materials or planning the successful delivery of orders.

Qualifications

  • Be an undergraduate student with a desire to complete a 12 month work placement as part of degree studies.
  • Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Has the ability to adapt quickly to changing working environments and is ready to embrace new ways of working through digitalisation.
  • Has the capability to work well in a team as well as independently, using own initiative.
  • Has a quality mind-set with high attention to detail.
  • Can communicate confidently with people at all levels, both written and verbal (including telephone).
  • IT literate and confident in using MS Office packages as well as learning Company systems.
