Our Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for execution of purchases from our suppliers and sales to our customers. In close contact with our commercial department the Supply Chain Coordinator aligns supply and demand and takes care of all logistical activities needed to get the goods to our end customer. Responsibilities are including but not limited to planning of product call-off and delivery, order management, document handling, and coordination of transport and warehousing.
Your job tasks, responsibilities and objectives
- Execute customer (sales) orders by gathering all relevant supply chain info, align with and communicate to all stakeholders, arrange transport and other services if needed
- Manage the inbound goods flow (purchases) in close cooperation with the commercial department and our suppliers: call-offs, road or sea freight coordination, document handling, receipt at warehouses
- Coordinate of product processing at third parties (e.g. cleaning of raw material)
- Solve logistical problems keeping in mind total costs and customer satisfaction
- Proactively advise commercial team in all relevant logistical topics
- Maintain close contact with the Quality department on product acceptance, release, and quality issues
- Responsible for administration of goods flow and related costs in ERP system (AX Dynamics); align with Financial department
- Negotiate rates with carriers (road) keeping in mind market price, performance, and reliability towards our customers
- Optimize the supply chain by actively looking for smarter ways to move our goods and provide best service to our customers; be a sparring partner for your commercial counterpart to find the best option for Tradin
- Strive to find efficiencies within the team by having a critical mindset on current processes and routines
For this challenging role you are required to have
- Work- and thinking level on intermediate vocational or Bachelor level – degree in logistics, economics, supply chain or agrifood is a plus;
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Well organized person, also able to work on more structural, longer term goals (time management)
- Accuracy – willingness to do things right the first time and find out the details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
- Hands-on mentality, getting things done under pressure, able to make both fast and thought-out decisions
- Firm personality that can cope with our business dynamics and is persistent in internal and external discussions
- Analytical skills, commercial awareness and customer focused
- Computer literacy (MS Office and ERP systems); knowledge of MS Dynamics AX is a plus
