Job Mission

ASML software deals with large set of data that originates from different sensors. Each sensor uses its own coordinate system for measurement. Due to this there is room for programming errors, while performing the operation with data from different coordinates systems. It is very difficult to identify these errors in the early stages that leads to a quite large debugging effort.

Job Description

You will be integrated in the EUV Metrology - Image quality calibration team and have interactions with the other metrology departments. 

As an intern working within the EUV Metrology team, you will be responsible for investigating and proposing an architecture and data type system that will enable coordinate system and scaling aware programming. In short: detection of errors like summation of vectors defined in different coordinate systems should be done as soon as possible, preferably during code compile time or in code static check phase. 

It is expected that you will come up with prototype solution in C++ and/or Python and propose a way on how the solution can be adopted (deployed) in the ASML software archive.


You are a Bachelor or Master student in Computer Science or Software Engineering. You are proficient in C/C++, Python and you are analytical oriented. You have a background in Software Engineering design. Furthermore, you are autonomous, have good communication skills and are able to work in a team. It is preferred that you have 0-1 year professional experience in a company or professional environment. You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. 

This is an Master apprentice or Bachelor graduation internship for 5 days a week with duration of a minimum 3 months.  

Please keep in mind that we can only consider students (who are enrolled at a school during the whole internship period) for our internships and graduation assignments.
