You have minimum 3 years working experience in Research / Analysis within Corporate Finance / M&A / (investment) banking / business development / Strategy, preferably within an international, dynamic, corporate environment.

You are fluent in English (both spoken and written) and have a University degree in business administration, finance, economics or related area.

You are knowledgeable about Corporate Finance, M&A, investment banking and/or strategic consulting and have proven experience working with relevant systems, applications and tools (PitchBook, CB Insights, Bloomberg, MS Office etc.).

You demonstrate good judgment, high level of integrity, trustworthiness and maturity (independence); you can prioritize and take sound and common sense decisions. You have a strong drive to build and share knowledge. You get energized by contributing to overall success and results through collaboration and get inspired by working together in an ever-changing complex, multi-dimensional, multicultural and multinational environment.

And, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values and have a genuine interest in home furnishing.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Within this organization, the Investment Analyst is responsible for supporting the Business Development Investments and Venture & Growth Capital portfolios with relevant market and investment analysis and research, thereby enabling these portfolios to contribute to the medium and long term growth and profitability of the Ingka Group through financial (minority) investments and strategic acquisitions related to the core business.

More specifically, this means you will:

• Analyse relevant markets, market developments, innovations, technologies and companies within the investment focus of the Business Development Investments and Venture & Growth Capital portfolios/activities, to build knowledge and help identify investment opportunities.

• Support analysis of selected investment opportunities.

• Support the development and fine tuning of the investment strategy and investment focus.

• Use and develop relevant research/analysis tools, techniques and methods.

• Actively contribute to creating and sharing knowledge/insights/competence within Ingka Investments in each of the defined investment focus areas.

• Coordinate and manage our external digital research tools and databases.

• Support preparation of investment proposals and material for decision making by the relevant decision making bodies.

• Support risk assessments at individual investment and portfolio level.

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external counterparties/stakeholders.
