In this role you have a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or a related field and you are currently working as an accountant, financial controller or a related position. You also possess more than 5 years with increased responsibility in accounting, controlling and budgeting or finance related field and experience in larger international structure. Strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multi task and ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English is in your scope.

You have knowledge in following areas:

• Excellent knowledge of the measurement, processing and communication of financial information regarding economic entities, which aims to document the organization’s resource management.

• Excellent knowledge of how to plan, measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long term profitable growth.

• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting rules, standards and manuals, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Advanced knowledge of how to assess, analyze and mitigate risks in a business environment.

• Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide ranging application in business context.

• Advanced knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders.

• Good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools; and how to integrate them.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Group Functions leads and steers defined competence areas across Ingka Group and supports the IKEA business operations. Group Functions act as cross functional business partner and coordinate the total cost of the function and the related availability of competence and talent. The majority of these Group Functions are geographically located in the Netherlands as well as in Sweden.

As a Group Functions Financial Controllers you will lead, steer and support overall Ingka financial reporting that is beneficial to people & planet and protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth and financial independence.

More specifically, this means you will:

• Coordinate the budget, forecast and cost follow up of the Group and Service Functions including preparation of management reporting.

• Set up and maintain the financial structures to follow-up cost and performance and support decision making in line with global frameworks.

• Works with the Group framework teams and functional leadership to minimize deviations from standard global frameworks for business needs and compliance reasons and secures effective ways of working.

• Work closely together with Business Navigation to create insight in costs and performance and support business steering.

• Perform variance analysis, reviewing and challenging reported actuals and forecasts and first level of commentary.

• Be responsible for an efficient and effective management/service fee recharging process (calculation, recharging, agreements etc).

• Ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timely Accounting and Reporting Financial and Management reporting based on standard global frameworks and local legal requirements.

• Contributes to global projects to develop financial operations and reporting.

• Document internal financial controls and reviews of effectiveness.

• Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group.

• Secure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance and succession through enabling an end-to-end approach.
