A role has arisen for a Production Engineer that will cover a number of areas across the Manufacturing division, and will be based at either our Head Office site at Barnsley ormanufacturing site in Rotherham. You will be exposed to all aspects of the manufacturing processes and day to day challenges, which will provide practical experience to develop a career within manufacturing. There will be various training opportunities, including on the job training and external courses as well as a mentoring and coaching program.    

Divisions involved:

  • Health and Safety
  • Production Supervision
  • Planning and Logistics
  • Production Engineering
  • Continuous Improvement Projects 

As part of the role you may be required to perform other duties from time to time, as described by your immediate line manager.  

You must be:

  • Educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a relevant subject ideally Engineering.
  • Able to learn through hands on practical experience. 
  • Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Able to use Autocad.
  • Able to do CNC programming.
  • Flexible to work a variety of shift patterns.

You will also have:

  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • The ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Have excellent organisational, written and numerical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT skills in particular Excel.
