About the role

The Global Solutions Development Team deliver technology solutions for business change with a laser focus on Quality, User Experience, Pace & Cost. We conceive, define & develop technology across the whole product life cycle from ideation through to implementation. We deliver projects ranging from rapid development to large scale programmes, working with partners inside and outside of National Grid. This involves discovering customer and user needs and turning those needs into quality solutions to enable business value to be realised soonest.

What you'll do

Solutions Development is organised into ‘towers’ which focus different types of technology, products and platforms, so you could work in a wide variety of project settings:

  • Engineering Systems tower works with the systems that support our core engineering business: Control systems, asset and work management, Geographic Information Systems, contract & project management, Ancillary platforms
  • SAP tower is responsible for National Grid’s ‘back-office’ applications including SAP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Coupa
  • Customer Relationship Management & Digital Enablement tower provide services for Web, Mobile, Cloud, Data Analytics, Robotic Process Automation, Salesforce and contact centre technologies
  • Quality Engineering tower provide services across all towers including test strategy, planning and automation, test environment management and test data management

Within these towers you will have opportunities to be responsible for requirements engineering, software development, quality testing.

You will receive a starting salary of £28,105 (or £29,127 if you hold a Masters) and a £2000 joining bonus.
