We have a great opportunity for an Intern to join the Strategy Planning & Insights (SP&I) team based in London, on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role will be focused on our New Categories (Vapour, Tobacco Heated Products and Modern White) portfolio across all Europe and North Africa markets, a very exciting and dynamic part of the business where no two days are the same! As an intern within this team you will be reporting to Planning & Reporting Manager and working closely with the markets. This is a great opportunity to learn and get fully involved in a multi-cultural and open environment.

Job purpose and key deliverables:

The role of the intern sits at the core of evaluating New Categories business performance and involves dealing with large data sets. The role drives visibility of the monthly performance reviews across key focus markets and will also own longer term projects within the team. Your work will involve:

  • Performance tracking of the New Categories portfolio.
  • Prepare high quality reports using Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Regional competitor updates on New Categories.
  • Work collaboratively with BAT markets to deliver monthly reporting & process improvements.
  • Support in preparation of presentations to senior leadership.
  • Ad-hoc projects.

Essential requirements

  • Management, Economics or Finance related degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point with experience of dealing with large datasets.
  • Accurate and analytical.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Willingness and ability to learn fast.
  • Team player.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Fluency in English (Other European languages a plus but not essential)
