About Nexio Holding

Nexio Holding owns various companies and start-up projects. We are a team of around 25 employees and expanding quickly. Therefore, the CEO is looking for a project manager that can run diverse projects in the areas of Product Sourcing (with our team in Asia) and Corporate Social Responsibility Consulting (with our team in Rotterdam). We are looking for a dynamic, IT versed and certified project manager.

Sourcing large consumer electronic products projects

Our sourcing division is the trusted middleman between distributors and retailers in Europe and Chinese manufacturers. We provide a wide range of products, from tailor-made items to existing products personalized according to customer’s demands.

We are the eyes and ears of our clients on the ground in Asia and manage the entire sourcing process from requests for proposal to production, and from quality control to final delivery. We assure reliability and quality by making sure its clients get what they want, when they want it, and by adopting Corporate Social Responsibility as one of its core values

CSR Consultancy to large & medium sized companies

Our CSR division leads businesses toward internationally recognized Corporate Social Responsibility [CSR] audits. In a world where businesses are measured just as much by their sustainability progress as they are by their financial progress, we guide them to reach their highest CSR rankings possible. We evaluate the current situation of the business and we complete the assessment required by the certified entity together with management after which we follow up on the corrective actions and provide advice on future Key Performance Indicators. In addition, we also develop sustainable products for our clients.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented project manager with strong communication and organizational skills. You will closely work with the management team. You will be in charge of making sure that tasks of the ongoing projects get done in time by the various internal and external team members.

Major Responsibilities

Your major responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Work hand-in-hand with management on all sourcing and CSR projects;
  • You should be able to take “ownership” of his/her projects and be able to take decisions in the absence of management;
  • Together with management, you will implement solid KPI’s and project dashboards per product or service area;
  • Resolve all project risks & issues (e.g. budget, timeline, accounts receivable, product costs increase to scope change);
  • Maximize margin on engagements and escalate issues that may have negative financial impact;
  • Help validate and produce appropriate baseline project plans and project documents;
  • Provide weekly project communication and status reporting;
  • Manage project quality to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Collaborate with appropriate resources on customer's business, organization and culture to strengthen their credibility as trusted advisors;
  • Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and developmental experiences to project team members;
  • Assess project performance and communicate lessons learned to increase institutional knowledge;
  • Deploy and Enhance the Nexio methodologies and quality standards for project management;
  • Projects will mostly be in the following areas:
  • Product creation projects (mostly electronics);
  • Sustainable packaging projects;
  • Manage large scale production projects (up to 500.000 plus items produced in one production);
  • Webshop implementation projects;
  • Software development & roll-out;
  • Larger CSR Consultancy projects.

Skills and Experience

  • You are an entrepreneur at heart with a methodologic project management approach. In short, you are a pro-active co-ordinator that makes sure that things get done;
  • Fluency: French and English (Dutch is a plus);
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; in case there are problems, you must be able to find alternative solutions;
  • Communication skills: ability to listen and communicate effectively;
  • Ability to present at executive levels;
  • Autonomous personality;

Having an interest in Sustainability is a must;

You like to “create” products and like to learn about materials and production processes;

  • You have 3+ years’ experience in product lifecycle and/or consulting services;
  • PRINCE2 or PMP certified;
  • Demonstrable experience in managing project risks;
  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree;
  • Ability to travel within the Europe, Africa and Asia up to 40% of the time;
  • Previous experience managing Time & Materials projects and Fixed Price projects;
  • Previous experience working:
  • within a PMO based project group;
  • for large and complex programs;
  • with sales team in a pre-sale’s capacity;
  • working in a small to medium sized company;
  • working in consultancy/vendor organization.
  • Computer and technical literacy:
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint;
  • Microsoft Project and/or any other project management IT tools;
  • Webshop back-end knowledge (Shopify) is a plus.
