Job description

Audit is the largest of KPMG UK's practices, providing independent challenge and delivering quality audits to organisations of all shapes and sizes. Audit requires a deep understanding of the company, their controls, processes and systems as well as their aims and the risks they face. Audit helps to assure stakeholders that published accounts are ‘true and fair’.

Working in audit equips you with valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of different industry sectors and business as a whole.

A sandwich placement is ideal if you want to gain a broad range of professional experience while working with an even wider variety of people within KPMG.

On our One Year Business Placement Programme, you’ll get both technical training and personal development opportunities that will equip you with the skills you need to succeed in your career. It’s all about gaining industry-leading work experience. Live our values and embrace our quality-first culture, and we’ll give you what you need to take your career from success to success.

Capability:

Audit

Programme Length:

1 year

Qualifications:

Entry Requirements:

As a general rule, you’ll be expected to meet the following requirements (*or equivalents)

  • Minimum Grade B GCSE* Maths
  • Minimum Grade B GCSE* English Language
  • Minimum of 300 UCAS* tariff points

On track to achieve a 2:1 degree in any discipline and currently in your penultimate year at university.

Please note that we only consider a candidate's 'top' 3 A-Level grades and do not accept General Studies.

At KPMG, we look at more than just your academic results. We will review your application, together with your performance in our assessments, to ensure that you have the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We will be considering your strengths and achievements alongside a number of other metrics, including technical background and/or experience, to ensure that you have the skills to succeed at KPMG.

Key Skills:

Throughout the recruitment process we will be looking to learn more about your strengths.

To be successful on this programme, you will be required to demonstrate the strengths that we look for at KPMG.

Training and Development:

As you will join KPMG with a graduate intake, you will embark on the first level of your Professional Qualification by either completing the ICAS Test of Competence or all but one (six) of the ACA Empowered Certificate level papers. When you return from your final year at university you will pick up where you left off and have even more time to gain relevant work experience.

It’s all about gaining industry-leading work experience at KPMG and seeing if it's a relationship you'd like to pursue after you graduate. And if that’s the case, we’ll give you all the support you need to become an expert in your field. In addition to studying for a professional qualification, you’ll also gain access to The Academy which provides an innovative approach to training and development to bring out the best in you. Learning activities, active development experiences and interactive community initiatives are all part of what we call a networked learning community.
