DESCRIPTION

We are on the lookout for an experienced Change Manager to join us on our growth journey and disrupt the energy industry with us.

The Change Manager is responsible for the identification, specification and prioritisation of change requirements across people, processes and systems. Reporting to, and working closely with, the Head of Operations this role will focus on supporting the delivery of the business operating plan. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have proven experience in a similar role, be confident in your skills and know how to implement best practice.

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for driving and delivering change management activities, including changes to processes and systems, arising due to regulatory and business change
  • Strategically work with the business to coordinate end-user testing and assurance of change deliverables
  • Responsibility for the daily people management and development of the change team
  • Keep your finger on the pulse by responding to industry and regulatory change and updating internal processes and systems to ensure the business always remains compliant
  • Lead internal policy reviews to ensure So Energy remains compliant with industry change
  • Show initiative in identifying where efficiencies can be made and highlighting where system and process improvements can be implemented
  • Proactively identify and document business change requirements and relevant training needs
  • Implement change requests and effectively project manage change items from inception to post implementation
  • Liaise across business departments including company Directors, Customer Service, Operations and Payments teams to identify and deliver continuous improvement
  • Provide regular change management progress updates to all stakeholders including senior management
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects with detailed delivery planning

Candidate Profile:

  • You love what you do! You have an in-depth understanding of the UK energy retail market and extensive experience working in a change management role or similar
  • You have proven project management experience through the complete project lifecycle and ideally hold either Prince 2 or APM qualifications
  • You have excellent communications skills, with the ability to engage with people of varying levels and ensuring they all work collaboratively towards the same goal
  • You understand the importance of risk and issue management and a knowledge of the techniques to manage them
  • It would be beneficial if you have gained experience in release/change management using Gentrack’s Junifer system
  • You possess excellent stakeholder management skills that allow you to facilitate change delivery in a busy working environment with competing day-to-day priorities
  • You are customer focused and have an understanding of developing and improving the customer journey and customer lifecycle to maintain and improve customer satisfaction
  • Ideally you have a project management or testing related qualification
  • You have a knowledge of OFGEMs switching programme and you understand smart metering
