Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity. We deliver over 500 projects each year aimed at: supporting people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment; reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste minimisation, reuse and recycling; and engaging communities and enterprise in improving their environment.

Our Youth, Employment and Skills Programmes delivers bespoke services to increase the prospects of young people and adults in order for them to move into sustainable employment, training and educational opportunities.

We are seeking an Employer Liaison Officer to support the East London Programme Manager in developing relationships with employers across North and East London with the aim of securing employment and volunteering opportunities for our programme participants.

The ACE ELO is a key role within Groundwork London’s ACE Employment Programme. The ACE projects offers temporary supported employment to long-term unemployed adults with disabilities and health conditions.

You will require extensive demonstrable experience of networking and building strong external relationships, experience of making initial contacts including cold calling and you will have a good understanding of some of the barriers faced by our clients to seeking work within the Welfare to Work Sector.

  • You will also be able progress and maintain positive relationships with employers, customers, funders, providers and partners.

The community charity with a green heart
Groundwork began as a simple idea: if communities help the environment, the environment will help communities.

This is still our approach today. By bringing people and the environment together with practical local action, we have an impact that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Every year we help communities through thousands of these projects across the UK. Projects that include:

Tackling climate change by helping people out of fuel poverty,
Bringing out the best in young people by helping them to improve their local area,
Building stronger communities by improving parks, playgrounds and other shared green spaces,
Getting people back into work by creating green jobs
and many more.
