Job Description

The skills and knowledge you gain will improve your chances of a future role within the Airbus and should benefit your future studies.

Working with the Tooling and Maintenance operational team you will be at the forefront of delivering Digital solutions to improve business performance. In a truly multi-functional team you will have the opportunity to work with design, quality & manufacturing Engineers as well as experience data analysts. You will be expected to analyse machine performance and suggest improvement ideas based on findings.


During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

  • Provide daily support to the performance and improvement leader by creating clear business documentation and provide project status updates or escalations
  • Support and prepare regular review documentation for senior leadership team..
  • Test and implement suitable improvement concepts.
  • Working with the business analyst identify meaningful patterns or trends from complex data sets and types.
  • Drive improved quality control measures through review of processes and implement improvements.
  • Communicate findings through effective and easy-to-understand data visualisations adapted to the audience.
  • Be the interface between functions, the data ecosystem and the requested solution.
  • Coach the function in the data-driven mind-set.
  • Actively contribute and share best practices, findings, and techniques with the wider community.
  • Highlight process issues and risks and contribute to resolutions with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate full project controls through RISK and opportunity & KPI management. 
  • Provide business with clear schedules and workload planning controls
  • Ensure clear feedback loops with impacted stakeholders
  • Lead and facilitate improvement workshops
  • Deliver project documents using the Airbus LBIP+ project management platform

Our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement studying towards a degree in project management, people and engagement empowerment or complex problem solving.
  • Strong skills in leading complex projects with ability to be flexible to handle a variety of time sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication with ability to work collaborative with a highly interactive, multi-cultural, fast moving and complex technical environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong knowledge in MS Applications, G Suite a plus.
  • Good level of Statistical knowledge coupled with strong problem solving skills
  • Strong planning skills with emphasis on process and quality competence
  • User friendly, practical and proactive in their approach.
  • Able to demonstrate a Positive attitude and be willing to build relationships within the department and across the organization.
