Our BioScience team are seeking a Commissioning Editorial Assistant to support our mission in uniting the world’s leading BioScience experts around the hottest topics in research, stimulating collaboration and accelerating science. This is an ideal entry role into publishing.

About the Team

The BioSciences team passionately focuses on developing high quality article collections that cover fascinating research areas within the interdisciplinary field of BioSciences. We work towards accelerating science, in close collaboration with the scientific community across the globe.

REQUIREMENTS

About the role

  • You will carry out the first assessment of email replies in order to direct qualified leads to a Research Topics Specialist
  • You will follow up with researchers to provide technical support while preparing their launch of new Research Topics
  • Regular and professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders, via email and phone
  • You will maintain tracking sheets with data relevant to the Research Topics pipeline
  • You will support us in reaching ambitious targets for journal growth

About you

  • Academic degree ideally relating to Science, however not essential
  • Excellent communication in written and spoken English, including professional telephone manner and high attention to detail
  • IT Proficiency with MS Office and Google tools, with solid typing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise varied workload under pressure
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
