Our Health team is seeking a Commissioning Editorial Specialist to support our mission in uniting the world’s leading Health Sciences experts around the hottest topics in their research areas, stimulating collaboration and accelerating science.

About the team

The Health team passionately focuses on building strong relationships with both researchers and clinicians to raise the visibility of health care and health science portfolios. Our team encompasses: Medicine, Surgery, Cardiovascular Medicine, Public Health, Global Reproductive Health, as well as Digital Health & Health Technologies to Psychiatry, Neurology, Nutrition, and Sports & Active Living. We are an engaged and social team, interested in candidates who have a thirst for health science and health care together with a firm focus on open access publishing.

REQUIREMENTS

About the role

  • Reaching out to high level researchers to engage them in discussion regarding potential Research Topics
  • Communicating with researchers via phone and email to explain the Research Topic projects
  • Representing Frontiers at conferences and science events
  • Assisting researchers in developing strong Research Topic proposals
  • Communicating with Chief Editors regarding the evaluation of Research Topic proposals and communicating any feedback to the proposing editors
  • Reaching growth targets for the assigned journals
  • As a Research Topics Specialist, you will learn how to build and manage relationships with high profile researchers
  • You will become familiar with the hottest topics in research
  • You will learn about scholarly publishing with an innovative industry leader
  • You will contribute to making ground-breaking research published and open to read for everybody

About you

  • You have a Master’s in a scientific domain with at least 1 year of professional experience after your degree
  • You might have a PhD which may substitute for previous work experience
  • Someone with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Someone with an outgoing, collaborative and professional personality
  • Someone with a willingness to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
