Overview

On this programme you will join our Building Services Engineering team, who provide design and management services relating to the mechanical, electrical and public health elements within buildings during initial construction, fit-out and occupancy stages. You will follow a training programme working towards Chartership.

What to expect

Two days will unlikely be the same on our Building Services team. You will experience everything from concept designs and technical compliance to project meetings and site inspections. Support and training will be ongoing and we will do all we can to ensure you gain the experience you need to obtain your professional qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering/CAD resource requirement for each project
  • Contribute to engineering concept design to detailed design, tender and contract on site supervision to completion, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs and that completion deadlines are achieved
  • Liaise with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard
  • Attend design/project meetings
  • Assist with in house design reviews and checks
  • Attend site inspections and Building Service audits including but not limited to condition surveys, dilapidations, due diligence and acquisition reports

Eligibility

You’ll need to be on course to achieve a 2.1 in a specific accredited degree, or already hold a 2.1. A good eye for detail is important too, as is the readiness to get involved in whatever project comes your way.
