We have opportunities to work within the following team:

  • Education, Health, Care - Primarily a UK based team working in key sectors of Education, Public Health and Social Care. In many instances the team operate under the Cambridge Education brand which provides synergy with other global education activities in the Group. Their work stretches from running training courses attended by individual teachers through to managing the £19m Adoption Support Fund on behalf of the government. The team specialise in public sector consultancy, our experts ensure that our clients deliver key services effectively. They also support the successful implementation of new public policy. We have opportunities in our London, Manchester, Cambridge and Cardiff offices.
  • Facilities Management Advisory - Mott MacDonald’s team of Facility Management consultants work across our business and with a wide range of clients to develop solutions that deliver best practice operating models, improve service delivery performance, focus on expenditure and produce compliant efficient contract management workflows. In today’s uncertain economic climate, property owners and operators are challenged to provide suitable service levels more efficiently and with less staff. Our specialist consultants help clients focus on the long-term value of their assets and optimize performance to benefit both their customers and their finances. The team has built up an enviable track record across multiple sectors and geographies and our sector leaders have helped to develop guidance publications, thought leadership, and contract models endorsed by the sector’s leading industry bodies.   • Advisory - Mott Macdonald's Advisory team in Scotland specialise in Public Sector consultancy advising clients on a range of subjects including Public Private Partnerships, Project Finance, sustainability and Project Management. Our clients cover the full spectrum of Public Sector activity including Health, Education, Transport and Defence. We have opportunities available in our Edinburgh office.

You’ll be working as part of a dynamic team alongside other graduates and experienced professionals. Learning about our structure and culture, you’ll constantly be exposed to real and exciting projects. Our graduate management consultants are involved in various project phases so you will gain vital on-the-job experience through our vast range of technical expertise. You’ll play a pivotal role by drafting and editing project reports and supporting bid managers in collating bid documentation.

With this scheme, no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to support senior consultants on project management and collaborative working while facilitating workshops with clients and stakeholders. You’ll be expected to confidently liaise with colleagues across the company while ensuring research, data collection and analysis is being carried out.

Candidate Specification

To apply for the for this scheme, you will have less than 12 months post graduate experience and have achieved a 2:1 or above in a relevant business related discipline.

We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:

  • A Methodical approach to problem solving
  • The ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail, with the ability to demonstrate accurate report writing
