Summary of Role

Our Business Operations graduates are fascinated by people, the way organisations work and how processes can be improved. Although they may not come to Baillie Gifford with certainty about the exact role they want to do, they learn the details of how we serve clients, execute new investments, report on fund performance and deliver a range of other business tasks through observation, participation and network-building.

This is a fantastic opportunity to observe our firm at close quarters. As a Business Operations graduate, you will spend your first two years with us learning how Baillie Gifford operates. Completing a series of placements with different teams, you will spend anywhere from a few weeks to a few months directly contributing to the operational management of the business.

After two years, you will be assigned to a longer-term role, where you will be able to capitalise on your experiences across the whole organisation. We’ll expect you to have built your own professional network across the company and to provide perspective, knowledge, ideas and motivation to your team based on your experiences and understanding of how our business operates.

If you’re interested, then we would welcome your application.

At Baillie Gifford we are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful culture in which each of our colleagues can thrive and develop. We believe that our clients are best served by a diverse workforce with the experiences, ideas and perspectives that this brings.

Baillie Gifford is one of the UK's leading independently owned investment management firms.
