Your department

Supply Center IT Solutions (SCITS) develops, delivers and maintains High Level Control (HLC) software. This software implements business logic in material handling systems and forms the part of our systems that interact with the users. It assists the customer in doing operational and strategic planning, dashboarding and analysis. It also provides workstation and operator access on the work floor. SCITS provides HLC software for all industry units within Vanderlande and this software is used within hundreds of sites worldwide.

Your position

As a Lead Front End Developer you are the lead developer within an agile team. You will get a handoff of the UX design from the UX team. This design is evaluated by you and translated into concept implementations of styling and interaction. Before, during and after this handoff you iterate together with the UX team based on the (im)possibilities you perceive. You are able to identify the attention areas and to explain these to all stakeholders. Together with the product owner you are responsible for the product backlog refinement. In short, you are able to kickstart the team by putting down the front end framework as a basis for current and future front end development, sharing your knowledge within the development team and intensely cooperating with the UX team.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the software team implementing the front end of our platform software
  • Act as a knowledge holder on Front end implementation
  • Take part in an Agile (Scrum or Kanban) team
  • Maintain the product backlog together with the Product Owner
  • Provide support within the team

Take part in continuous improvement through sharing of knowledge and improvement points within the team

Your profile

  • Higher Professional Education (HBO) qualification or University degree (WO)
  • Experience as a senior developer within a UX team is required
  • Experience with Typescript, Javascript frameworks and Angular is required
  • Experience with HTML 5, CSS and SASS is required
  • Experience with RESTful services and APIs is required
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration is an advantage
  • Experience with Requirements Management, Change Management, Version Control and Test management tools is an advantage
  • Enthusiastic result-driven professional
  • Proactive, pragmatic and hands on attitude
  • Committed team player
  • Agile mindset, experience with working in a scrum team is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with good command of the English language
