Your responsibilities

As a Young Engineering Talent, you will join Philips Personal Health in Drachten, the Netherlands in the Innovation & Development environment. We have opportunities in several disciplines within different innovation teams. Each role has a specific focus. You will start as a Young Engineering Talent to become an expert professional within one of the following roles:

  • Development Engineer: you will work in a multidisciplinary team to develop new products fitting consumer needs. This involves deep technical knowledge and understanding of the problems, creativity and strong consumer centric thinking. By working in multi-functional teams, you will gain experience in the end-to-end value chain having contacts both upstream with marketing disciplines and downstream with our supply organization.
  • Product Researcher / User Experience: your challenge is to ensure consumer satisfaction with our products in the market. Therefore, you need to understand what consumers want in our products, the so-called consumer insights, translate these into clear user requirements, and validate the consumer needs during the product development.

We will help you to develop yourself further by focusing on ‘learning on the job’, mentoring and training. Your personal development is important to us. This is an opportunity to really challenge yourself and grow both personally and professionally.

Recruitment Process

  • Apply before 30th of September 2019 and upload your CV, motivation, video elevator pitch and grade list;
  • What should be in the video elevator pitch? Tell us about your background, motivation & how you see your development in the next 3 years --> what are your career expectations? (min 1 minute - max 2 minutes);
  • If you pass the pre-selection round you will be asked to take an online ability test at the beginning of October 2019;
  • By 18th of October 2019 you will receive feedback if you passed this test & will be invited for the final selection day;
  • The final selection day in Drachten (the Netherlands) will take place in the 1st week of November, 2019.

Start Date: When you successfully complete the selection process, you will start between December ‘19 and February ’20.

Note:

In absence of the documents mentioned in the recruitment process, the application will be deemed as incomplete and will not be processed ahead for selection.

You are part of

You will join a dynamic team of inquisitive engineers, researchers, and business innovators tasked with pushing the boundaries of several Innovation Teams within the Personal Health domain of Philips. You will be based on our site in Drachten, Netherlands.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Master’s Degree in the directions of Mechatronics, Embedded Software Engineering, Innovation Management, Human Factors Engineering, Bio-medical engineering,Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Physics (experimental), Chemistry, Industrial Engineering or Technical Business Administration.
  • You have graduated not earlier than 2017 or no later than 2018 with maximum 1 to 2 years of work experience straight after your graduation;
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, you’ve shown in (study)projects that you proactively challenge issues and can convince others (peers);
  • An international mindset, willing to live work abroad & enjoying collaborating with other cultures and backgrounds;
