The Mulberry team are currently hiring for a Craftsperson to join our Production team team based in our Bridgwater office.
Craftspeople work individually and as part of a team to manufacture leather goods and to provide assistance to the production line where and whenever required. Craftspeople should ensure the highest quality standards are achieved and production efficiency is maintained. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Follow instruction and monitor work practices to ensure that our products are made to agreed specifications.
•Adhere to quality procedures following our quality guidelines.
•Ensure continuous production is maintained.
•Operate equipment and machinery in a responsible manner, in line with the Health & Safety policy.
•Maintain hourly work output paperwork for Supervisors to approve.
•Assist in the setup of future production lines and procedures.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
•Carry out specific production duties as and when required
The roles within a Production Line are carried out to defined specifications:
•Cutting – check skins for flaws and cut bag panels out of different types of leather using presses and hand cutting techniques
•Skiving – preparing the leather prior to stitching using designated skiving machinery and measuring equipment
•Inking – apply inking to material edges, ensuring even application and quality
•Stitching – Stitching a variety of materials together using different types of sewing machines
•Inspection and Packing – identifying faults and packing bags
•Materials Preparation – preparing materials ready for further production, checking leather and components for faults
Craftspeople may be assigned to any of these roles.

•Flexibility – may be required to change role and/or move between lines as required
