The Original British Motorcycling Company.

At Triumph, we are driven to make the best motorcycles in the world. Building iconic motorcycles that celebrate our past whilst embracing the future - through bold design, original styling, purposeful engineering and a genuine passion for the ride.

The placement will be based within the Design Department where your role will be similar to that of a full time Design Engineer. The work will be real, interesting and relevant to your studies, helping to develop a broad range of engineering skills and will allow you to gain valuable experience. The role will include 3D CAD design work, calculations, simulation and technical drawings, as well as liaising with external suppliers and internal departments.

Students aren’t taken on as extra resource, they are needed to fulfil the role of an engineer and contribute to the design and development of a production motorcycle. The Design department is made up of focussed design teams of varying size depending on the project, and you will be given the opportunity to take on a position of genuine responsibility.

A high percentage of industrial placement students go on to join Triumph in full time employment after graduating and may be offered sponsorship in their final year(s) at university

Preferred students should be studying a degree that has been accredited with the IMechE and meets the academic requirements of a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

An Industrial Placement in Design is ideally suited to Mechanical and Automotive students.

Full details of the job description and person specification can be found in the downloadable job files.
