Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in consultative sales and account management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in client relationship development, multi-market digital planning and execution management.
  • Experience in strategic and tactical digital advertising.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently troubleshoot and manage complex implementations.
  • Experience working in one or more Sub-Saharan Africa markets.
  • Ability to speak and write in a Sub Saharan language fluently and idiomatically.

Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

This is an exciting position, working with large customers across Sub-Saharan Africa. As an Account Manager, you will partner with a range of internal stakeholders and experts (i.e. Product Specialists, Industry Managers, Analysts, internal support teams) to show customers how Google can provide solutions to their most important business challenges.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.


  • Identify and pitch advertising opportunities to assigned clients. Position Google solutions for offline and online.
  • Act as the primary client and agency point-of-contact on media planning, delivery and performance of Google Media across Google platforms.
  • Go above and beyond service excellence to showcase clients' business value and encourage future growth of our partnerships
  • Improve and educate clients on the latest products, betas and insights on an ongoing basis so as to keep them up-to-date on opportunities across Google products.
  • Partner with sales, specialist and support teams on the development, coordination and activation of short-, mid- and long-term customer plans aligned to meet and exceed customers business objectives and grow their investment in Google.
